Two of the more popular error messages are 37 and 12. Error 37 simply means: "The service is undergoing maintenance, please try again later." Error 12 is caused by " [Read More]

There are many theories as to what these updates are all in aid of. Some on Reddit have taken this as a sign that Bioshock Infinite will be getting a remaster, but this seems unlikely. [Read More]

Close Combat 4 : Battle of the Bulge

Bulging The Battle Of The Bulge was the desperate attempt by Hitler to defeat the advancing Allied forces near the end of the war. The Allies had by then regained most of Europe, and were beginning to engage the retreating German army on their own soil. The confident American troops stationed in the Ardennes where completely unprepared for any kind of aggressive action, and were taken by surprise by a massive German strike force which vastly outnumbered them. Scrap Mechanic, developer Axolot Games enormously enjoyable vehicle construction sandbox game, is finally getting its extremely long-awaited Survival mode next month, on 7th May, and there's a first look at its more structured hijinks in a brand-new trailer. Scrap Mechanic initially entered Steam early access in 2016, and delivered a pleasingly flexible multiplayer sandbox experience built around the idea of constructing elaborate machines, be they vehicles or other oddities, from a core selection of building blocks and some surprisingly powerful tools - including the likes of pistons, thrusters, sensors, logic gates, and engines. DmC: Vergil's Downfall review | Eurogamer.net

Spare a thought for the video game brother, forever cast in the shadows. Nintendo's placing the spotlight on the lesser sibling of its star duo this year, so DmC's first substantial DLC that puts Dante's brother Vergil on centre stage feels like it's part of a curious trend. Vergil's Downfall is a substantial if not entirely satisfying single-player add-on, retaining so much that made Ninja Theory's reboot a success while never really building on it in an engaging way. It's not easy being green: a brief history of orcs in video games

When we first meet the young orc warchief Thrall in Warcraft 3, he's just woken from a nightmare; visions of orc and human armies clashing on a battlefield as the sky burns above them. "Like fools, we clung to the old hatreds," a voiceover laments. It's rendered stunningly, this battle, in an early progenitor of Blizzard's now-renowned cinematics. But unlike in the previous two games, there's no glory to it. [Read More]

Lake review - a simple story in the shoes of a postal worker offers a rewarding journey

A gentle adventure, imbued with a sense of place and purpose. There's something weirdly comforting about repetitive jobs. We've all had one in some form, and the routine of it all can let your mind rest and go on autopilot. Now, some of them are truly horrible, and being a wage-slave is no form of "character building". But postal workers are clearly a different breed, their job being far from menial and of great societal importance, with plenty of surprise and variety possible each day - while somehow still getting all of those steps in.
