Riot Games has unveiled League of Legends, a competitive online game attempting to blend RPG and RTS gameplay.
The idea is to occupy the persistent role of a Summoner (RTS general), who watches battles from a far and participates in them through Champion units, which gain levels, unlock abilities and gather items by being active.
Then, eventually, the Summoner will also gain rank, unlocking its own array of abilities to unleash on enemies.

So there is a big Vampire: The Masquerade video game coming out this year after all. Except, it's not an RPG like Bloodlines 2, it's a free-to-play battle royale. I know that sounds strange but I've played it, and it's better than I expected. It's a pretty impressive production, actually. It has a studio of around 200 people behind it: a newish Swedish studio called Sharkmob, led by Ubisoft Massive (The Division) veterans.

Sony's revamped PS Plus subscription service launches in Asia this week and new details are already emerging. It's been revealed that various visual options for PS1 games will be available, including multiple resolutions (native, 4:3 for 16:9, and stretched) as well as three filters: default, retro classic, and modern. Retro classic is essentially a CRT filter, meaning it's replicating the visuals of old TVs for that vintage feel.
