Direct remakes are a peculiar breed. They're not the same as the "re-imagining", a category into which some of the best and worst games of the 21st century have fallen, and yet they're obviously not sequels. With videogame remakes, this oddness is compounded by differing formats, saddling us not only with the worry of whether the game stands up to its progenitor and similar titles of the day, but also the question of who if anybody is likely to buy it, not to mention why?

Bethesda appears to have included a cheeky Minecraft Easter egg in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As reported by Geekology, you can apparently pick up a 'Notched Pickaxe' in the game's Throat of the World region. Given Minecraft creator Marcus Persson's 'Notch' handle and the fact that the item in question bears a definite resemblance to the indie game's main excavation tool, it seems likely that it's a deliberate nod.

One of the many post-game activities you can do in Pokémon Sun and Moon is getting Eevium Z by finding all Eevee User locations.
The quest has you visit a supermarket worker who went on the island challenge in his youth, and wants you to locate and beat eight Eevee evolution trainers across the world as a favour.
Like other storylines in Sun and Moon, it can be surprisingly dark at times, but is a simple quest of working out the specific locations of each Eevee user, giving you one of the more elusive Z Crystals in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Imagine a glitzy cinematic sequence where you, as a secret agent, fight your way through an aeroplane soaring through the sky. Being Hitler is really weird.
I feel a little uncomfortable. I've never been Hitler before and I've never had a particular desire to be Hitler. A quick look at my stats tells me I'm a rather grumpy person, a sore loser, bitter about the First World War, and this has a negative impact on my behaviour.
My attitude is tempered somewhat by my cabinet, a slowly-growing circle of advisors whose skills fill the cracks in my fractured personality.

Gentle and generous, Good-Feel delivers its best game yet in this imaginative and breezy platformer. The key word here, really, is craft. It's there, first of all, in the aesthetics of this, Good-Feel's second outing with Yoshi (or third if you want to be really picky and include the 3DS offshoot with Poochy). This a world of lollipop sticks and sticky-back plastic, where discarded cereal boxes stand in for rolling mountains and cardboard clouds are suspended on lengths of string; a world where Shy Guys blow into straws to keep ping pong balls afloat so that you can skip along them to your goal.
