PS5 save files - How to transfer saves from PS4 to PlayStation 5 and moving PS5 saves explained

Transferring your save files from your PS4 to your shiny new PS5 will allow you to play any of your PS5 compatible games. You'll also be able to continue playing on the save files if you want to. If you haven't transferred save data between consoles before, then this process can be quite daunting, but don't worry - it's actually quite simple once you have both consoles set up properly. US players can register now for a chance to buy one of Sony's "limited" PS5 consoles next month

Sony will have "a limited amount of PS5 consoles available for customers in the US to purchase direct from PlayStation" next month. Though signing up at Sony Direct secures neither you a PS5 nor even a definite chance to buy one, it's nonetheless a lifeline for players who've been desperately trying to secure Sony's next-gen system but have yet to do so. Right now it appears as though the deal is only available stateside, and is - predictably enough - restricted to one console per PSN ID. [Read More]

"BattlEye has provided native Linux and Mac support for a long time and we can announce that we will also support the upcoming Steam Deck (Proton)," [Read More]

Big Star Citizen event shows new system, new ships and new clouds - but no release dates and no Squadron 42

Cloud Imperium Games has held its CitizenCon event - albeit in digital form - and it showed off a number of new features coming to the space game. However, there was no live gameplay demo and no release dates offered for any part of the controversial, long-in development game. And Squadron 42, the story-based game set to star Hollywood actors, was a no-show. CitizenCon kicked off with a brief message from CIG founder and CEO Chris Roberts, who talked about the challenge of shifting some 720 people to working from home as a result of the pandemic. Destiny Khvostov Quest - schematic location, 7G-OX weapon parts and manual pages for Rise of Iron's We Found a Rifle Quest

Destiny: Rise of Iron has a neat callback to the very first weapon players wield in the game - the Khvostov - by making it the Exotic weapon Khvostov 7G-OX. The path to get there isn't signposted by the game, but once you're on the Khvostov Quest in Rise of Iron, it will only take you around an hour to 90 minutes to get it - though expect some exploration and a tough boss battle before you do so. It looks like Among Us VR may release in December

An update to the Steam backend has fans speculating that Among Us VR may be released in December 2022. While this is by no means definite - even the SteamDB listing, which leaked the date, clearly states that the "Steam API release date [...] may be wrong" - the update was changed on 15th April 2022, amended from 10th November to 13th December, 2022 (thanks, PCGN). While either date could be a placeholder, of course, the good news is that we probably don't have to wait that long to find out exactly what the release date will be; Innersloth has confirmed it'll be at Facebook's Meta Quest Gaming Showcase this coming Wednesday, and the hope is we'll find out one way or the other then. Jett: The Far Shore review - a profound but extremely irritating space odyssey

A sci-fi odyssey of great vision and promise that proves to be its own worst enemy. Over a decade since release, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is still a game worth pondering for how it avoids being a game at all. One of the first breakout iPad titles, it exploits the platform's multimedia cachet to wander playfully and abrasively across boundaries between artforms, genres and technologies. On some level it is Zelda, the tale of a wanderer's accidental rousing of a skull-headed spectre that must be purged by collecting the pieces of a cosmic triangle. [Read More]

Mario Golf: Super Rush review - nice additions, but the magic still lies with the basics

Running between shots can be chaotic fun, but Mario Golf truly lives in its ever-soothing standard mode. Why did Mario get the golf gig back in the day? I have thought about this often playing Super Rush, the latest instalment in the Mario Golf series. Mario Golf remains a fantastic idea, obviously: I begrudge Mario nothing. And in truth I struggle to imagine Link and co. finding too much inclination to go putting when Ganon has risen once more and the sky is on fire. [Read More]
