Last night I was shown a pre-recorded presentation in which various developers at Infinity Ward spoke enthusiastically about this year's upcoming shooter Modern Warfare 2 and the various changes it makes to 2019's largely successful Modern Warfare soft reboot. I can't bring you hands-on impressions of the multiplayer, unfortunately (with the lifting of this evening's embargo there will be plenty of videos featuring multiplayer impressions for you to check out), but I can write about something Infinity Ward repeatedly discussed during its presentation: its fancy new water tech.

Each of the four games in this section are modern titles using advanced graphics APIs, like DirectX 12 and Vulkan, which are able to make better use of high core count processors - like the Core i9 10900K in our test rig.

Pikmin 3 includes a handful of extra side-missions starring original series protagonists Olimar and Louie, showing what they were up to while the game's main campaign takes place elsewhere. But while these are a nice addition, they're not hugely substantial. Each mission essentially acts as another time-limited treasure hunt of the type found in the game's existing Challenge mode. Four of these act as a prologue to the events of the game, and each begins with a brief text message from the President, Olimar and Louie's boss last seen in Pikmin 2, ordering the tiny spacefaring duo to go collect more loot.

It was during a lecture they probably should have been listening to that Sara Thompson doodled the Dungeons & Dragons Combat Wheelchair on the back of a textbook. They'd been talking about it for a while, the wheelchair, irked by a game that offered players limitless freedom to be whoever they wanted but still struggled to fully represent them. So they did something about it. A few years later, that Combat Wheelchair add-on for Dungeons & Dragons is on a third edition and has reached right around the world.

The Seagate Firecuda is a 2.5-inch 'laptop-size' drive - a 2TB hybrid costing around £115/$130. What makes it stick out? Well for PlayStation users, it ticks a few crucial boxes if you're itching to upgrade the standard hard drive. Until this model came along, we've had 1TB as the maximum size for 2.5-inch hybrid drives. Even with on-board NAND memory to increase speeds, 1TB might still not be quite enough to make an upgrade worthwhile - after all, PS4 Pro ships with the same level of storage out of the box.
