A brisk running time and lower stakes do the Uncharted formula no harm at all - even if this spin-off sticks a bit too close to the script. Sometimes it's good to take a step back. Naughty Dog's Uncharted games were conceived as lighthearted, almost flippant action spectaculars, as knowingly pulpy as their chief inspiration, Indiana Jones. But they ended up with baggage that Indy didn't. Thanks to a deluge of critical acclaim and an overflowing of corporate pride, they took on a level of importance, almost gravitas, that sat awkwardly with their insouciant style.

Nintendo has announced full details of its massive, free new update for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, due to arrive on Switch next week.
Update Ver. 1.3.0, as it's called, is primarily focussed on delivering a New Game Plus mode. However, according to Monolith Soft's Tetsuya Takahashi in the latest production notes, New Game Plus is "more than just a way for people who have cleared the game to play through it a second time"

Young Impa is playable in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild prequel Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
Developer Koei Tecmo showed off Young Impa gameplay during a Tokyo Game Show 2020 broadcast. (Skip to 1:35:41 in the video below to see her in action.)
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity tells the story of the battle against Calamity Ganon, which occurred 100 years before Breath of the Wild. In Breath of the Wild, Impa is the elder of Kakariko Village, the village of the Sheikah people.

Bloodborne Game of the Year Edition will launch on 27th November and include the DLC story expansion The Old Hunters.
The Old Hunters will launch that same week on 24th November for £11.99/€14.99.
It will contain three new areas and 10 new weapons including a cool axe/saw weapon called Simon's Bowblade. Furthermore, it will finally let players transform into a beast - something the core game hinted at, but never actually did aside from giving you hard to notice claws for a few seconds during certain animations.

In addition to the basic ending, Dark Souls 3 has three additional endings to choose from. Two require a small setup that can be done before starting the final fight, but the last one needs a lot of additional things to be done at specific points during the game.

Id Software's Doom reboot has been out for over a year now and the developer decided to make all of its paid DLC free for everyone as part of today's update 6.66.
The game never had any single-player DLC as all of the paid content was specific to the game's multiplayer modes. They included nine maps, three guns, three playable demons, and additional armour sets and equipment.
Interestingly, the developer also decided to completely rehaul the game's multiplayer progression system and mechanics.
