If you're disconnected from the internet while playing Diablo 3, your game instance freezes straight away and after a minute or so, you're booted back to the character selection screen. When you log back in, you restart from your last checkpoint - but keep any gold, experience and items you earned. We tested this by disconnecting our wireless internet connection in Windows while playing. Here's a video of what happened: Starting for a checkpoint early in the game, we gathered an item and some gold and killed a few monsters.

"You've been playing for two hours without a break. Don't you want to stretch your legs for a bit?"
Mums will approve of the way this classy settle-and-trade strategy game watches for signs of chronic addiction then dispenses subtle health warnings via in-game characters. Veteran BioWare designer Matt Rhodes has posted an array of Mass Effect concept art from throughout the sci-fi trilogy which hints at early ideas for the series' characters and conclusion.
A "very, very early idea for Shepard" was that he would turn to Reaper technology to accomplish his goals and become something akin to Mass Effect 1 villain Saren. In a cyclical twist and a mirror of the first game's Saren confrontation, Shepard would eventually have been confronted by the new human spectre (Ashley or Kaiden, depending on your Mass Effect 1 choice).

Ever since handheld gaming achieved a level of processing power that could handle 3D visuals, it's become an unwritten rule that at least one launch title must be a port or remake of a popular console game - just to prove that the new portable can live up to all the cosmetic hype. Super Mario 64 DS, MediEvil: Resurrection on PSP, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition on 3DS all followed this trend.

Gen 2 is finally here and with it come not just new Pokémon like Scizor and Steelix, but new items like the Metal Coat, too.
That, in turn, means new methods for evolution: the Metal Coat was used for evolving Scizor and Steelix in the main Pokémon games by having them hold the item when being traded - a mechanic that's not in Pokémon Go at all as things stand.
