Melody of Moominvalley is being developed by Norwegian studio Hyper Games and promises to take players on a "cosy" adventure in which they'll need to harness the power of music and their trusty harmonica in order to restore nature after the Park Keeper and his minions build hideous parks all over Moominvalley. Nintendo Super NES Classic mini review

The NES mini was a huge success, but very much a first effort from Nintendo ripe for improvement. Fine for more casual gamers, the experience for enthusiasts was let down by flaws including subpar video scaling, ultra-short controller cords, audio lag and a range of minor emulation issues. The good news is that Nintendo has improved the quality of its emulation, successfully simulated a range of custom, cart-specific hardware in the process and done it all using the same cheap mobile chipset as its predecessor. eFootball 2022 season 1 review - too little, too late

Despite some added substance and structure, eFootball's good ideas are still buried beneath matchmaking issues, weird decisions, and major gameplay bugs. Poor Ciro Immobile. He must barely be processing his national team’s non-attendance at the World Cup after winning the Euros last year. The last thing he needed was for me to pick him for my Dream Team campaign in eFootball 2022’s Season 1 update. A lone superstar in a squad of 40-something-rated no names, his has been a campaign of frustration and impotent rage. [Read More]

As explained in a new developer blog, tomorrow's God of War update will introduce a brand-new default graphics mode option designed to "get the most out of the increased performance capabilities of the PlayStation 5". Up until now, PlayStation 5 owners playing God of War have been able to take advantage of the two graphics modes introduced in the PlayStation Pro version of the game - one favouring performance, which unlocks the frame rate but restricts resolution to 1080p, and the other offering a checkerboard 4K resolution locked to 30fps. Let's talk about Persona 5's menus

Let's talk about Persona 5's menus, because they're great. Ostentatious, audaciously intricate, the spectacle of their existence defies common wisdom. Traditional design sensibilities suggests that menus should be austere, informative, but Persona 5 has transformed its own into a gallery of kinetic art pieces so visually distinctive they're almost the star attraction. This choice in gorgeously flamboyant aesthetics is hardly surprising. Katsura Hashino, the game's director, explained that it was intended to reflect Persona 5's central theme: a coming-of-age story focusing on youth going their " [Read More]
