The Double-A Team: Mad Dash Racing proved racing games don't need vehicles

As a spoiled child who was gifted numerous consoles, I had my biggest demand in the spring of 2002: an Xbox. The black and green hues of the preceding "play more" marketing campaign convinced me I would pretty much die if I didn't end up getting one. (Spoiler: I'd have survived either way.) So, one family trip to Comet and over an astonishing £400 later, the bundle we chose had an extra controller, Halo, Max Payne and this thing called Mad Dash Racing. [Read More]

Apparently there are 136 pokémon to catch. At 60-80 hours, and with a whole storyline, Pokémon Cobalt and Amethyst is the real deal. Since the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC, modders have been hard at work playing around. Now one fan has recreated the game with the classic fixed camera of the PS1 original. GT6 glitch gives you 20 million credits in three minutes

Gran Turismo 6's microtransactions were always a controversial feature. Some people just don't like being asked to grind for in-game content when they know that the barrier to their prize could be waved with a few quid, while others appreciate the optional shortcut. Critics of the model will be delighted to learn that it's all for naught at the moment, as a glitch has been discovered in Polyphony's latest racer that can earn you a cool 20 million credits - about £120 / €150 - in under three minutes. Little Nightmares review | Eurogamer.net

Media Molecule protégé Tarsier turns in a masterpiece of meat and malice, swiftly consumed but with a lingering aftertaste. Little Nightmares is everything you may have loved about LittleBigPlanet thrown into a sausage grinder with everything you may have dreaded in Silent Hill. A side-scrolling 3D platformer that conjures up a wealth of grisly implications within a brisk five-hour runtime, it reapplies Media Molecule's conceit of playing a nimble tot among gargantuan domestic objects to a fetid, ocean-going warren of beaten metal and oozing flesh, touched a little questionably by imagery derived from real-life atrocity. Resident Evil 4 coming to PS2 'end of 2005'

A PlayStation 2 version of the hugely-anticipated Resident Evil 4 will be released in Japan at the end of 2005, Capcom has confirmed, ending the long-term exclusivity arrangement it had previously signed with Nintendo. The move could also pave the way for long overdue ports of other previously GameCube-exclusive titles Resident Evil Zero and the well-received remake of Resident Evil. As part of the now-infamous Capcom Five line up originally announced in a blaze of publicity in September 2001 (including the still-unreleased Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, PN03, the canned Dead Phoenix and RE4) Resident Evil 4 represented perhaps the jewel in Nintendo's third party exclusivity plans - plans which have long been in tatters with delays, cancellations and poor sales, but this latest move will be seen as the final insult for die-hard fans.
