The AUG is a relatively slow but deadly assault rifle from Black Ops Cold War, but it's now available in Call of Duty: Warzone thanks to crossover content between the two games finally kicking off.
As you'll likely know if you've spent time with Black Ops Cold War, or previous games in the Call of Duty franchise for that matter, the AUG fires in deadly burst patterns. Players don't typically favour the AUG for its speed, but instead choose the weapon based on its stopping power: if you can land a burst on an enemy's head, they'll immediately hit the ground.

Hello! Over the next few days we're going to be going back over some of our favourite games and moments and themes and whatnot from this very strange year. We hope you enjoy looking back with us!
This year I saved a sleepy village from a monster, I tried to unite a divided caste society, and I started a band. I defended the innocent in court, tried to stay alive in a death game, fought with street gangs in a cyberpunk society and found the impostor among us.

Average EA shooter Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel was destined to be "underwhelming" due to the low team morale experienced while working on the project, the game's executive producer has claimed.
Ex-Visceral Games Montreal employee Julian Beak has described via his LinkedIn page how he was recruited "late in development" of the game "to deliver a struggling product in very little time" (thanks, Videogamer).
Beak claims he "reversed [the] negative trajectory of team morale"

Treyarch has, as promised, shaken up the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War meta with its weapon balance update.
The developer issued the update for its shooter yesterday, 15th December, but only now has published the patch notes, revealing the extent of the changes.
The headline change is a significant nerf to the M16 and AUG tactical rifles, both of which were seen as the two dominant weapons in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077's 1.2 patch arrived last week, accompanied by an absolutely gigantic list of bug fixes, tweaks and upgrades. Dedicated players should see game-breaking bugs addressed, but fundamentally, has the game been fixed on consoles? Can we now recommend purchasing the title on last-gen systems? To cut to the chase, there's good news for PlayStation 4 Pro owners, but in terms of performance and stability, there's still a long, long way to go.

A worthy follow-up to a modern classic, Dirt Rally 2.0 offers marked improvements and a driving experience like no other. Now this is hardcore. After the 2017 detour of Dirt 4, an accessible and noble experiment in procedural track generation that nevertheless felt like it had gone too far in blunting the edges of the sport it simulated, this is a return to deep, satisfying driving with serious bite. To call Dirt Rally 2.

Halo Infinite's latest technical tests are in full flight. Last weekend, the action kicked off with the trio of maps we saw in the initial preview, backed by new game maps, offline training options and the surprise debut of a new 'Behemoth' map. The testing continues this weekend, and the arrival of big team battles is enticing. Based on what we played, the console versions are looking more impressive overall - and there's good news in terms of improvements to the game's performance modes on Xbox Series X and, perhaps surprisingly, Xbox One X.

Digital Foundry will be looking in-depth at Gran Turismo 5 later in the week, but in the meantime we're planning a series of blog posts to celebrate the long-awaited launch of PS3's most highly anticipated of sequels. The first port of call for us when we received the game was to see just how Polyphony Digital had managed to implement a consumer-friendly course creator, bearing in mind how long it seems to take the developer itself to craft new circuits.

Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals' villains have started infiltrating the original horror game. Following an update deployed during the summer (or Q3 for those of you in the southern hemisphere), a series of spooky tweets from developer Night School, and another mysterious patch deployed a few days back, new radio transmissions are now available in the original game, a full half-decade after it was originally released (thanks, PCGN).

It's no secret that Hidetaka Miyazaki loves poison swamps as much as we love his games. His self-confessed masochistic streak compels him to keep adding them. Even Dark Souls 2, which wasn't directed by Miyazaki, didn't give us respite from these sludgy slimepits. If it's a Soulsborne: Ring Dies Twice game from From Software, it'll have at least one poison swamp.
That got the old brain cogs a-whirring. If all of these games have poison swamps and the big man behind them thinks they're really important, it's obvious that we can figure out which one is the objectively best game by rating the poison swamps!
