Destiny 2 Path of the Splicer quest steps: How to complete the weekly seasonal quest

Destiny 2's Path of the Splicer is a questline running throughout Season of the Splicer. Similar to Challenger's Proving during Season of the Chosen, this provides structure to the season's new activities and features, with each week tasking you with using the Splicer Gauntlet and opening chests in Override. From step three onwards, this questline gives access to new Expunge missions, which are also required to be completed as part of the quest. [Read More]

Is Anthem performance really improved in the final game?

Yes, Anthem's day one patch has indeed addressed many of the performance issues and oddities found in the console versions of the game, but despite undeniable improvements and optimisations, there's the sense that BioWare's latest epic still requires work. Meanwhile, if you're playing on PC, be prepared for an experience that really pushes your hardware, but undeniably provides impressive enhancements over the console experience. But does Anthem on any system deliver an experience anything like that E3 reveal? [Read More]

Original plan for Assassin's Creed series was for it all to end on a spaceship

The original plan for Assassin's Creed - back when the whole franchise was planned as a trilogy - would have seen series hero Desmond blasting off on a spaceship. Details of the idea, originally dreamed up by Assassin's Creed co-creator Patrice Désilets, have been published by Lars de Wildt, a researcher of conspiracy theories, religion and other beliefs in digital media culture at Belgian research university KU Leuven. As a PhD student, de Wildt interviewed various former Assassin's Creed developers back in 2019. [Read More]

Blizzard's persistently popular hero shooter Overwatch is celebrating its fourth birthday this year, and to celebrate those celebrations, a new three-week anniversary event is currently underway on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC. The reason behind Waluigi's infamous crotch-centric Mario Strikers celebration

Waluigi has a very interesting way of celebrating his achievements in Mario Strikers. The tall and lanky dark horse of the Mario series would gesture at his crotch area while simultaneously thrusting his hips forward. This is known as a 'Crotch chop', and not something that many would expect to see in the family friendly Mario games. And yet, we did. Chatting to GameXplain, Mike Inglehart (formerly of Mario Strikers developer Next Level Games and the director of the original GameCube Super Mario Strikers and Wii Mario Strikers Charged) has spoken more about Waluigi's gyrating taunt (thanks, Screen Rant). Train Sim World 2020 review - quietly thrilling, and thrillingly quiet

Told with nerdish detail - and limited production values - Train Sim World 2020 might surprise you. Coasting through the San Francisco Bay area in a muscular F40PH-2CAT diesel-electric locomotive, there's 750 long yards to go until you have to come to a stop at a platform. That shouldn't be too tricky, especially as you've had a lengthy stretch with little more to do than take in the view and prepare your thoughts. [Read More]
