Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is an enjoyably strategic return to Fódlan

I can't deny that Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of my favourite games this generation. From defying the church to restoring a kingdom, I saw everything each route could offer, yet Three Hopes' announcement still left me cautious. Following the success of Hyrule Warriors and, of course, Fire Emblem Warriors, Nintendo has once again teamed up with Koei Tecmo for a musou spin-off, swapping Fire Emblem's tactical RPG gameplay for hack-and-slash combat. OutRun2 | Eurogamer.net

Order yours now from Simply Games. As much as we'd like to take it in isolation and extol its virtues unshaken by the knowledge of meatier challenges a couple of shelves away, it's impossible to talk about OutRun2 - one of the most single-minded racing games we've played - without contrasting it with the depth and scope of Burnout 3, released just three weeks earlier. And it's a comparison that hurts the SEGA title. [Read More]

Resident Evil 3 remake review - at times brilliant, but not a patch on its predecessor

The Resident Evil 3 remake, like the original upon which it is based, is inferior to its predecessor. The Resident Evil 3 remake comes out just over a year after the Resident Evil 2 remake, which is particularly satisfying timing when you consider the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis came out just a year after Resident Evil 2, back in 1999. Resident Evil 3 launched just before the launch of the PlayStation 2 and a transition to the next-generation of consoles, and the Resident Evil 3 remake launches not long before the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X - another satisfying parallel.
