Mass Effect 3: Omega review

BioWare is trying something different with Mass Effect 3: Omega. After Leviathan, a story-fuelled race around the galaxy that wrapped revelatory new lore around dazzling locations and likeable characters, Mass Effect fans get the opposite. Omega is a dark, hard-fought slog through the belly of the dingy Mass Effect 2 space station. It rambles, it gets lost, and it ultimately feels weightless. Omega's story centres on angry asari Aria T'loak. [Read More]

Pokémon Sword and Shield Applin evolution method: how to use the Sweet Apple and Tart Apple to evolve into Applin into Flapple or Appletun explained

Switch's Witcher 3 patch 3.6 is an excellent upgrade to a superb game

When we reviewed the Witcher 3's Switch port late last year it was a cause for celebration. Cramming the entire adventure onto a cartridge was a real technical feat, the graphical nips and tucks were appropriate to the platform and the fact is played at all was something of a miracle. That said, there were still some key aspects missing we would have loved to have seen included in the port and what we really wanted to see was the ability to port saves between PC and Switch - a feature of Divinity Original Sin 2 that played out beautifully on the Nintendo hybrid. This fan-made character creator for Untitled Goose Game lets the goose be a detective

An indie game developer working on upcoming life simulation game Paralives has made an unofficial character creator for Untitled Goose Game, leaving fans of the latter wondering why this isn't a feature in the game already. Not only does the character creator let you change the goose's body type, but there's a few potential outfits for your feathery avatar too: including a crown and some kingly robes, a beanie hat and t-shirt, and even a detective style get-up (complete with a deerstalker cap) - presumably to catch the thief that's stolen every single item in the game. Arena has completely changed my mind about Magic: The Gathering

I'm really excited about Magic: The Gathering and I never thought I would be, never ever. When a friend once snootily told me HearthStone was a simplified version of Magic and eww how could I play it, I thought it was all I ever needed to know about it. Did I want to play a complicated game with snooty people? No I did not. But now I'm hooked. I play Magic pretty much every day, even when I'm supposed to be working, and it's all because of Arena.
