A few years back, a western release of Mother 3 was finally on the cards. Originally launched for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, the new version was being prepped for Wii U Virtual Console, timed for the game's 10th anniversary.
This 2016 port would have been the first time Mother 3 launched in the west, where Nintendo's oddball role-playing game series is named as Earthbound and is probably still best known for its representation in Super Smash Bros.

The past few weeks have seen various Sonic voice actors announce they have sadly parted ways with their characters - including Sonic himself, Roger Craig Smith - with fans left in the dark as to why.

Arc System Works has released a brief video showing off Guilty Gear Strive's next DLC character, Happy Chaos.
The video, below, shows Happy Chaos in action. It looks like his pistol plays a significant role in his moveset - and note how he shoots the timer in the user interface if the round runs down.
Happy Chaos is the antagonist of the Strive story, and the third of five DLC characters released as part of season pass one.

Square Enix has made a major change in its Final Fantasy 6 pixel remaster.
"Yes, you can still suplex the train in Final Fantasy 6 pixel remaster," read a tweet on 13th February promoting the forthcoming release.
Except the suplex wasn't quite right. Fans of the game - originally released on the SNES in 1994 - will know there's a boss fight against a Phantom Train, and martial arts character Sabin is able to suplex the train.
