Slender Man is making unexpected appearances in Phasmophobia. The ghosthunting game's latest update, Nightmare, rolled out earlier this week, although developer Kinetic Games didn't give away much about the new adventure beyond the fact it involved camping in the wilderness with the new map, Maple Lodge campsite.
It turns out that the new location is full of creepy little Easter Eggs, including the surprising cameo from one of horror's most iconic figures.

Evolve is going free-to-play (which explains why it's been removed from Steam) - and its developers have opened up about the game's troubled launch.
Evolve, a four-versus-one shooter, launched in February 2015 to great expectation, but its appeal was dampened by a convoluted downloadable content plan that involved three editions of the game and a season pass that sliced the game up into little bits and pegged monsters and hunters for release later down the line.

Earlier this month Valve's Gabe Newell announced he - alongside Weta Workshop and Rocket Lab - would be launching a garden gnome into space for charity, with $1 being donated for everyone that watches. And now the time has come to wave goodbye to Gnome Chompski, who is preparing for lift-off early tomorrow, 20th November, in the UK.
The whole affair is, of course, inspired by Half-Life 2: Episode 2's Little Rocket Man achievement - still one of the finest achievements ever created - which required players to carry an otherwise innocuous garden gnome from the start of the game to a rocket ship near its end.

Gogeta SS4 is coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ later this week.
Though we knew the fighter - a fusion of both Goku and Vegeta - was on the way to the third DLC pass, his release date was only confirmed during last night's Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour stream.
Gogeta SS4 will drop for FighterZ Pass 3 holders on 10th March, and be available for everyone else on 12th March.

An Oculus Quest 2 jailbreak that bypasses its Facebook login has reportedly been discovered.
Non-profit research company the XR (Extended Reality) Safety Initiative said it had confirmed root access on the recently-released Oculus Quest 2, which was first claimed on reddit just over a week ago.
In a post published on ReadyHackerOne.com, XRSI founder Kavya Pearlman said that following a researcher from the XR community bypassing Facebook login on the Oculus Quest 2, its own researchers validated the jailbreak.
