Path of Exile is currently embroiled in a controversy sparked by the catastrophic launch of a new expansion and a backlash against preferential treatment given to streamers. The popular action role-playing game last night launched the Ultimatum expansion. Here, players risk items for coveted rewards in increasingly difficult trials. There is an element of competition here, with those reaching the highest maps first expected to dominate the in-game economy over the next few months. [Read More]

If you're watching the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series and want yet more backstory, it sounds like you could do a lot worse than read this month's latest Star Wars novel, Brotherhood. Brotherhood takes place during the Clone Wars, and stars both Anakin Skywalker and Kenobi off on another adventure. The Necrons are coming to Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is getting the Necrons as DLC. Black Lab Games' well-received turn-based strategy game launched on PC earlier this year before arriving on consoles. The Necrons arrive during the first quarter of 2022. I had a lot of fun with the Battlesector campaign, despite its obvious limitations. My impressions are over in an August entry of What we've been playing. Pretty much everyone agrees Battlesector is in dire need of new factions (currently you can play as the Blood Angels and Tyranids only), so I'm delighted to see the Necrons are on their way. Black Ops 4 Black Market tiers explained - how to level up tiers and gain Black Ops battle pass levels

Black Market tiers are Call of Duty Black Ops 4's version of a dedicated Black Ops battle pass. In other words, it's a levelling system that lets you work towards unlocking in-game items like cosmetics just by playing the game. At launch though, levelling up feels like pretty slow work - very slow work, in fact - so with that in mind this page will explain how to level up Black Market tiers as fast as possible, as well as anything else you should know about how to level up the Black Ops 4 battle pass. Creative Assembly faces backlash over decision to end support for Total War: Three Kingdoms

Creative Assembly is facing a vociferous backlash over its decision to end support for Total War: Three Kingdoms. This week the British developer announced it had wrapped up work on Total War: Three Kingdoms with the 1.7.1 patch. No more DLC or patches will be released for the game, which broke series records upon launch in May 2019.
