Rockstar has announced a 6th December release date for its Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition. The iOS and Android version will cost $4.99 (about £3.10) and follows a similar mobile edition of Grand Theft Auto 3 last year. A new post on the Rockstar blog details a number of graphical tweaks set to be included. The developer has updated character models and lighting effects, added new and more precise firing and targeting options, a fully customisable control layout and native support for Retina display devices.

Valve has reportedly sanctioned the release of Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection, a passion-project mod that "completely overhauls" the seminal shooter. Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar has revealed how the September 11 attacks changed GTA3, which launched just weeks after the terrorist atrocities. Alterations were made to distance the game's fictionalised Liberty City setting from New York City, and a mission that mentioned terrorists was also trimmed. Splatoon 2 is coming to Switch on 21st July, Nintendo revealed tonight on a Nintendo Direct stream.
While the squid-based sequel doesn't look a whole lot different from its predecessor, it does have at least one major new game mode called Salmon Run.
This four-player co-op mode tasks a team of squid children to collect "Power Eggs" on a man-made island, then bank them in a basket. The problem is the eggs' parents, the Salmonid, aren't too happy with these rapscallions making off with their young.

Ubisoft has announced that the development of its troubled Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake - which was originally due to release in January last year - has been moved to a new studio and will now release "when it's ready". Prior to today's announced, the Sands of Time remake was being developed by Ubisoft Pune and Mumbai, but the project has been dogged by setbacks since its unveiling in September 2020.

2K Games is developing a range of sports-based Lego titles, according to a new report.
First up will be a football game developed by Sackboy: A Big Adventure studio Sumo Digital, VGC reported, for launch alongside the World Cup this November.
An open-world racing game will follow next year, developed by WWE 2K22 outfit Visual Concepts. A third sports title is also planned. Lego's next big game release is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which arrives in April after various delays.

A Black & White 2 modder has released a 4K texture pack for the game.
Modder merendas235 uploaded the 6GB texture pack to NexusMods on 16th May (thanks, DSOGaming).
The video below is a comparison of Black & White 2 running with and without the texture pack.
Black & White 2 was developed by Lionhead Studios and published by EA in October 2005. It's blend of real-time strategy and god game was designed by Peter Molyneux and Ron Millar.
