It's been a bit of a wild ride for Apex Legends fans over the last few weeks, given developer Respawn Entertainment's rather cheeky bait-and-switch regarding the identity of its next new hero. The games are over, however, and robot hitman Revenant has now been formally unveiled as Apex Legends' latest playable character.
Fans have long suspected Revenant to be the star of Apex Legends' fourth season, of course, given the proliferation of leaks and official teases surrounding the character, leading all the way back into last year.

A new Elden Ring PC mod turns its NPC and bosses into companions. Created by modder Satoshi98 (thanks PC Gamer), the mod turns various characters from the game into spirit ash summons. What's more, the range of these summons has been extended, meaning they can be summoned more frequently and in more places on the map, following the player like Skyrim's companions. The mod not only includes NPCs like Ranni, Melina and Blaidd, but powerful bosses like Malenia, Radagon, and more.

Page 1 of 2 Next page Fallout used to be funny. Like, properly laugh-out-loud funny. There are certainly moments of levity in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but the endearingly surreal streak of humour that once made the series stand out has been notably absent since Bethesda took it over. So here's the good news: Old World Blues brings funny back. The previous New Vegas add-ons, Dead Money's casino heist and Honest Hearts' frontier myth, were both relatively straight-faced and narrative-driven experiences at least partly defined by their setting.

Fortnite's new map is the star of its revamped, reinvigorated Chapter 2 update, which launched yesterday after nearly 48 hours of black hole-ridden downtime.
But yesterday was not the first time fans had been able to peer at the new map. It had, in fact, been floating around various corners of the internet for several weeks. The problem was, no one believed it. Back in September, an image showing most of the map was posted to the r/fortnitecompetitive reddit.

Minute of Islands is a beautiful thing, but the gameplay can't keep up and there's no real narrative to be found. Thinking about Minute of Islands, I'm at a crossroads with myself. This is the kind of game I'd usually enjoy, but when it comes down to it, I'm not sure I did. Instead, I find that a mere day after playing, it's already starting to slip my mind.

Page 1 of 2 Next page Nintendo spent Wednesday afternoon fouling up our meticulously planned Wednesday evenings here in Los Angeles by keeping us tied up in an hour-long press conference to unveil Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as you may already have read about. Still, it was their own party in West Hollywood they were forcing us to miss, so perhaps there's no harm done.
In any event, you'll probably feel it was worth it for the unusual opportunity to hear Shigeru Miyamoto and Masahiro Sakurai, formerly of HAL Labs and currently employed by Nintendo to develop Smash Bros.

Out of nowhere, EA has confirmed the existence of Plants vs Zombies 3, playable to a select group of people via a pre-alpha build.
A Google Play store listing accessible in the US is currently advertising the game for certain Android users (as spotted by Android Police). The same link gives a 404 error here in the UK.
Screenshots show familiar plants and zombies from the series' roots - although one big change seems to be that sunflower energy comes not from actual sunflower plants placed on the game board, but from a meter.
