Assassin's Creed veteran Russell Lees dies

Russell Lees, a video games industry veteran with a long career at Ubisoft, has passed away. Word of Lees' death was shared on Twitter last night by Assassin's Creed narrative director Darby McDevitt, who led tributes to his colleague. At Ubisoft Montreal, Lees wrote several story arcs for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, as well as the game's Ireland-set Wrath of the Druids DLC. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 made $1 billion a day quicker than Modern Warfare 3, Activision has announced. That's $1 billion in worldwide retail sales in 15 days since launch, based on Chart-Track and internal figures. Modern Warfare 3 took 16 days to cross the $1 billion mark. For comparison, James Cameron's Avatar made $1 billion in 17 days. Diablo Immortal has started its global roll-out on iOS and Android devices

Diablo Immortal - Blizzard's free-to-play take on its long-running dungeon crawler series - has started its global roll-out, and is now available to download on iOS and Android devices in certain territories. Don't expect Fall Guys on Nintendo Switch or Xbox this year

Fall Guys developer Mediatonic has confirmed that the game's delayed Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions won't arrive before the end of the year. These editions were originally due in the summer, but in April were pushed back to an undefined date - and we've not heard much since. As for when they will arrive, those details will have to wait for 2022.
