Let's be honest, after all the leaks, it's probably not a surprise to hear there's a new Garden Warfare-style Plants vs Zombies. Ta-da! Here it is. It's named Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and it contains Garden Warfare-y multiplayer modes, a quest-filled free-roaming PVE campaign you can play in single-player or co-op, and a social hub to spend time messing about in.
Battle for Neighborville also has big ambitions to become a long-lived service.

A never-before-seen Hyper Neo Geo 64 Samurai Shodown 64 prototype was found sitting under a tree in a Californian field recently.
It had been sitting there for 20 years, retro video game collectors believe.
Samurai Shodown 64 is a December 1997 fighting game released for the Hyper Neo Geo 64, the arcade system created by SNK as the successor to the Neo Geo MVS.
The Hyper Neo Geo 64 was meant to herald SNK's emergence into the new era of 3D gaming that emerged in the mid-'90s, but it failed to find an audience and reached the end of its life just two years later in 1999 with only seven games under its belt.

Nintendo trusty Switch will get the hulking huge Assassin's Creed Odyssey via a special Japanese version of the game that streams it from the cloud.
It's not the first big third-party release to arrive on Switch this way. Back in May, Capcom announced a cloud version of Resident Evil 7 for Switch. Again, this is Japan-only.
Odyssey on Nintendo Switch was shown off in the Japanese version of last night's Nintendo Direct.

Square Enix's remastered version of Final Fantasy 9 is now available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and on PC via the Windows 10 PC store.
Final Fantasy 7 also now has a Switch release date, of 26th March.
There's a lot of love for FF9 and its classic fantasy style. It's an homage of sorts to the series' old heyday. Also, its lead character is named after Zinedine Zidane.
