Call of Duty 3 is now available on Xbox One's backwards compatible library.
This was Treyarch's first stab at the Call of Duty franchise before becoming one of its main stewards with the Black Ops series under its belt, along with 2008's CoD: World at War.
Call of Duty 3 also marked the series' final stab at the World War II setting before CoD 4: Modern Warfare brought the popular franchise to the modern era. These days they're typically set in the future and contain things like Kevin Spacey and space combat.
It was only last month that Call of Duty 2 was brought over onto Microsoft's latest console. It seems unlikely that Call of Duty 4 will follow suit, however, as it's getting its own HD remake that can only be acquired through the Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe editions of the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
