BAFTA award-winning composer Normand Corbeil, who scored Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and died aged 56.
His son posted the news on The Cancer Forum (via 8bitfix). Corbeil passed away on Friday after being diagnosed with cancer in August 2012.
Corbeil lived in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He won his BAFTA for his work on Heavy Rain in 2011.
Corbeil also contributed to Quantic Dream's older game Fahrenheit. He's credited for the orchestral score and additional music.
Whether Corbeil had finished the score for Quantic Dream's new game Beyond: Two Souls isn't clear.
Rest in peace, Normand, and thank you.
