Another expansion pack has been announced for The Sims 3 on PC and Mac. It's called The Sims 3 Generations and will be released on 3rd June.
Generations follows Sims from childhood through puberty to adulthood.
As a child you "goof around" with imaginary friends and play in tree houses. As a teen you got to the prom, play pranks and probably try to mask spontaneous erections during history lessons. And as an adult you "ride the wave of freedom", throwing parties, weddings and having wonderfully embarrassing mid-life crises.
Generations will be the fourth expansion for The Sims 3, following World Adventures (7/10 - Eurogamer), Ambitions and Late Night.
The Sims 3 made its confident debut on console last November. No expansion packs have been announced for the console versions as yet.
Wrote Eurogamer reviewer Keza McDonald of The Sims 3 on console: "On consoles, at heart, it's the same rewarding, anecdote-rich and very personal experience as it ever was. If you've got the option, then the PC version is still the one to go for, but in every significant way, this is just as good."
